People visiting Wolf Creek Pottery Studio will see the
various components of a working ceramic studio from making to glazing to
firing. Nancy will have several ceramic works in progress so
you can observe her process.
Nancy will
demonstrate how she makes trays starting with a wheel thrown cylinder,
shaped into an oval or rectangle, cut away portions of the wall to create the
shape of the tray, and then adding the top and bottom to the tray. In
addition to trays, she will also put together some vases and pouring
vessels. She will answer questions about her work and her
soda-firing process.
In addition to her work, people will be able to view
some of the pots she have collected over the years. You will see
which potters have influenced and inspired her.
