Perspectives: Georgia Pottery Invitational 2009 begins with an opening Gala Reception Friday, August 28th from 6 to 9 PM. Gala will be held rain or shine. Free refreshments will be served. Attendees will be able view all work in both of the galleries during the reception. The much awaited Preview Sale will begin at 7 PM during the Gala in the Rocket Hall Gym and close at 9 PM. There will be a $5 admission charge for the Preview Sale.

10 AM to 5 PM each day
The 7th annual Perspectives Exhibit and Sale officially begins Saturday August 29th, 10 AM to 5 PM and is designed to showcase the largest variety of functional handmade pottery currently being produced by professional art potters throughout the state of Georgia. Over 4,500 individual pieces of pottery provided by 50 of Georgia's finest potters are available for sale at this event.
Visitors to the OCAF Art Center may see two outstanding exhibitions of pottery. The largest exhibit, with over 140 pieces of pottery, will feature the works of each of the 50 participating potters and a select number of pieces from private collections. The second Members Gallery Exhibit is titled “Pottery Line-Up” will display art pottery and sculpture by seven professional Georgia potters. Additional areas of interest will be two, one day workshops by Katy McDougal (Sat, Sept 5th) and Jennifer Graff(Sun, Sept 6th), and self guided studio tours (see drop down link under "workshops") September 13th, 2009.
